Ontario Has Two Very Different Kinds of Slab
Ontario is one of the oldest cities in the Inland Empire and also one of the fastest growing, and its concrete reflects both. North of the 10, around the historic Euclid Avenue corridor and downtown, many homes date from the early and middle twentieth century. Their garages are often detached, single-car or narrow two-car buildings with thin slabs, old patches and years of oil soaked into the surface. South of the 60, Ontario Ranch has filled former dairy land with brand-new homes whose garages have smooth, dense, power-troweled slabs.
Those two floors need opposite things. The older slab needs crack chasing, patching and sometimes removal of old paint before it can be coated. The new slab looks perfect but is too smooth for resin to grip, so it has to be diamond-ground to open the surface. We plan the prep for the floor you actually have, and the quote spells out which steps are included.
Warehouse and Shop Floors Near the Airport
The area around Ontario International Airport and along the 10 and 15 is packed with distribution buildings, truck service bays, fabrication shops and flex space. Those floors deal with forklift wheels, pallet jacks, hydraulic fluid and constant sweeping. We install high-build epoxy and urethane systems with safety striping and marked walkways, and we can phase work by zone, over weekends or around shift changes so the building keeps moving.
Older tilt-up buildings that have changed tenants often have layers of coatings, adhesive and anchor holes that need to come up first. We assess that during the walk-through so the scope is clear before anyone commits.
Heat, Wind and Ontario Garages
Ontario summers are hot and the afternoon sun is strong, and the Santa Ana winds that come through the Cajon Pass area each fall push dust into every open garage. A flake floor with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat holds its color by an open door and hides the grit that blows in between cleanings. We start installs early on hot days and size resin batches so the coating levels properly instead of setting up too fast.
- Diamond-ground prep on every floor
- Crack and joint repair before coating
- UV-stable topcoats for sun-facing garages and patios
- Phased schedules for commercial floors
What to Expect From an Ontario Project
After a free visit, you get a written quote listing grinding, repairs, the coating system and any add-ons such as stem-wall coating or extra flake. Homeowners usually plan to keep vehicles out for a day or more, depending on the system. Business owners get a phased schedule showing which areas close and when. If an older garage has a moisture issue or a slab is still moving, we explain the options, including when a coating is not the right fix. Ontario homeowners near the Chino city line are only a few minutes from our base, which makes follow-up visits easy.
Ontario Questions
Do you serve all of Ontario?
Yes. We work across Ontario, from the older neighborhoods north of the 10 to Ontario Ranch in the south, plus the industrial areas around the airport.
Can you coat a detached garage with an old slab?
Usually. Older slabs need more repair and sometimes moisture testing first. We check the floor in person and explain what it needs before quoting.
Can a warehouse stay open during the work?
Often, yes. Large floors can be split into zones and done in phases, including weekends, so part of the building stays in use.
